My mother is the most beautiful, determined, and strong person I know. But with those amazing attributes always comes a back story filled with reasons why she’s had to be so strong and why she’s had to overcome so much to get where she is now. I look to my mother for constant inspiration and aspire to be as incredible of a writer as she is. So I thought I’d share this little gem with you.
My sister, my rock, my wise owl
This is one of my best friend’s from back home, Hayley. She is beautiful and an inspiration to me to be healthy and take care of my body, no matter my love for fast food. I call her my sunflower because of her hair and her free spirit. I miss this girl and can’t wait to have another photoshoot with her.
I never really appreciated my home until I left for college. The beauty was an everyday occurrence for me so I didn’t think much of it. But I miss these Hawaiian sunsets and the ocean more than anything. Oregon holds its own special beauty but the views on Kauai are incredible. Anyway, Happy Earth Day to everyone. Remember, Malama da A’ina (Hawaiian for Respect The Land). This is your home and its beauty won’t last if we carry on with all of these industrial problems and littering. I thank God for creating this planet and for giving me the eyes to appreciate it. He also gave me a craving to travel and see all of the wonders of the world. I can’t wait until that is possible.
Every stroke of a painter’s brush is intentional
Carefully sculpted by God himself
You were no accident in His creation
You hold beauty and purpose
You are his art
So I’ll leave you with one last thought, my darling. Remember your beauty and intelligent thoughtful mind. Remember how special it is and how capable it is. That’s all you’ll need to know to, to believe in, to get through this life.
